Baiting police to intentionally break the law? Should not even be a question. Then surely he doesn't need a Go Fund Me account right? Or does he make money off baiting and suing police depts ;-)

So they fudged some stuff for "playability" huh? Not surprisedI also have emailed the reporter at KRIS TV and clarified with him. The reporter did the story based on a note from his producer.

I would just like to take a moment to clarify all of the above.
I know Mr Cabrera and spent most of the night talking with him about all of this.
To start with, he was not open carrying on campus. He merely submitted an inquiry to the school asking whether they had yet been trained on the new laws that went into effect on the first of the month.
He ended up speaking with the resource officer to clarify the school's position. The resource officer then accosted him in the parking lot to determine if he was open carrying. However, he was not. If you believe that he was, then you must ask yourself why the school was not placed on modified lockdown, as per CCISD policy.

Yes, he was arrested before. The charges were dismissed and the officer placed on desk duty. The reason he set up a gofundme account in the first place was that he was arrested and his family wanted to bail him out of jail but didn't have a way to transfer money easily to one central location. Some of his friends also asked if it would be OK if they were to contribute. It wasn't some scheme to make money, as has been implied. I should know. I was one of the contributors.
Either way, it is now a moot story, in that the school has clarified its policies and Mr Cabrera has spoken with the resource officer again this morning and they have reached an understanding in the matter.

Pretty odd because I had a recorded message from my daughter's school yesterday saying to expect a letter about open carry. I thought to myself they're being dramatic.
They're probably planning to post a 30.07 sign at Miss Smith's 4th grade classroom door.
There can't be that many 21 yr. olds in her class....
Consider the crowd he advocates with. I think the guy on the end right could've picked a better shirt for their march and photo. I think these guys have good intentions but just lack tact and a little common sense in how they portray themselves and thus the rest of us by association when the media lumps all gun owners and open carriers together.
