    I have been carrying the same knife for some time now and was just wondering what people use as there day to day edged tool. I prefer fixed blade to folder. Here are a few pics. Its a Ka- bar TDI

    I also daily carry my Kabar TDI. Sometimes I switch it for a Cold Steel Braveheart though.

    I also always have my Kershaw Leek folder on me, it's the throw away knife that's followed me for several years now. I prefer fixed to folder though.

    My favorite pocket knife is a Gerber Torch. It's not a particularly nice knife or anything, I just like it. I like how it flips open and locks up with a sturdy frame lock. I kinda have a thing for matte stainless steal, too. My second favorite is a Benchmade Mini Griptilian. I also have several Kershaws that I'm fond of, but they are all assisted opening and from what I hear carrying those in Texas is a no-no.

    For those of you who have a Kershaw Leek, what do you like/dislike about it? I just started looking at one.

    I've had the same one since March 2007. Not sure if they re-designed anything on the basic 'Leek' model, but I'll give my opinion on the original one. - Kershaw Leek Black 1660CKT

    Likes;
    Good steel, holds an edge and fairly easy to sharpen
    Durable, mine has been dropped countless times, thrown in the mud, soaked in dirty water, etc and has no rust or abrasions to show for it.
    Lockup is still good to this day, the lock has never failed me and the spring assist still kicks the blade out nice and smooth.
    Coating - The coating on mine is still intact. It is tough stuff. The only place the coating is worn is where I've used my knife sharpener on the blade, and on the belt clip where the clip has rubbed up against counters, walls, doors, etc. I bump into a lot of stuff haha.
    Reversible clip, for tip up or down carry.

    Dislikes;
    The safety lever broke on mine in the first year. Doesn't bother me as I think it's unnecessary, but might concern others. The knife still closes and opens just fine.

    I currently carry a Mtech Firefighter knife (window punch, seatbelt cutter and blade) Bought it down in college station at the Texas municipal fire school, been a great knife for the stuff I have put it through. And I now also carry a swiss army knife that I got off of amazon, came with the little classic sd which is on my truck keys. So all in all I carry 3 knives with me all the time.
