    OKay, so I'm looking at an STI, 9mm, 5" pistol. So I'm trying to choose one of these;

    Trojan
    Lawman
    Range Master
    Sentinel

    AVG. Pricing on Gun Broker is Trojan=$1199, Lawman=1219, Range Master=$1499, Sentinel=$1999.

    With the exception of cosmetic differences, I can't find differences that would impact the accuracy or durability of the pistols. All frames are forged except the Trojan which is cast. No mention of different FCS or barrels or pistol's barrel bushing tolerances.

    QUESTION: So why an $800 difference from Trojan to Sentinel?
    PS: There ARE differences, just few that will impact accuracy or durability.

    What do you think? BTW, also considering a Dan Wesson so I'll play this game with them also.

    When you start getting into higher price ranges like that, it has less to do with drastic improvements to the gun, and more to do with fine quality. Hand fitting and perfect finishes are not cheap.

    Cosmetic takes time and handwork. It costs.
    The more hand fitting, the higher the price.

    im not sure there is a lot of hand fitting going on, could be wrong. Cosmetics and little things light fiber or night sights add a little. Hey, thank you for contributing! Philip

    I like Buds, great selection. But I've been buying from Grab-A-Gun. Great prices. I think shipping of handguns is flat $4.95 or maybe 5.95

    Think I'm gravitating toward the Range Master or another Dan Wesson, Specialist...

    cheers, and thank you all for making me think a little. Philip

    I already own a Springfield Loaded btw. Great gun! Fit a new barrel bushing and it's as accurate as my DW PM9!
