Me and my wife have registered with cps for foster to adopt and they are sending someone tomorrow to our house. We are both excited and nervous. Having trouble sleeping. Just don't want anything to go wrong and hurt our chances. I know we are good people. Just need cps to see it as well.

As a dad by private adoption, I second the above advice. Also, listen to the information about the paperwork and the home studies. That's important stuff.

If you decide to go the private route, I can highly recommend AdoptionWorks out of Dallas. They went above and beyond to help us.

I left you guys out. But we met with they lady. She didn't see any big issues with the house or property. Just some small things like lids on bathroom trash cans and some sort of chime on the doors. But the rest was great. No just have to go through roughly 35hrs of training to get certified and have a fire and safety inspection then a final in home inspection and interview. So al is great for now

God decided that we can't have a kid the normal way and we have been wanting a family for sometime. So this is our only option

Well I wish you the best of luck then. I have 4 daughters, three of my own doing and one step daughter (who is oddly a lot more like me that the others most of the time!). These girls are my life and I wouldn't trade them for the world.
