Let me first say I am not interested in gimmicky crap. If it isn't practical in some way, I really don't want it. I'm very picky about what goes onto my rifles, and that's one of the reasons I never bought into the "slide fire" craze. To me, it was just a way to do mag burns and nothing else.

Now this trigger system? I can see it actually being practical. The way it works is that it fires two times. Once when you pull the trigger, and once when the trigger resets. It makes use of the three position safety. You have a safety, a semi auto, and an "echo" position. It's also designed so that if you take one shot with the echo setting turned on, and decide you don't want to fire the second shot, you can stop it from firing by switching the safety lever to either SA or safe.

With the slide fire, it was hard to shoot accurately. You basically just sprayed bullets downrange. This system is a lot more precise, and therefore a lot more practical. It's not cheap, the MSRP is going to be $479, but it is as close to true full auto fire as your going to get without adding about $16,000-$20,000 to that price tag.

The ATF has already approved the design, so it is 100% legal. I'm planning on doing a 300 BLK SBR build soon, so I might just have to get this trigger. :D

A place to shoot guns and meet all the people you argue with on the Internet.

Forum tends to get friendlier for a little while after people put faces to names. Then back to normal until the next meet.

If they're available, I might have to get one and stick it in my 5.56. That 300 BLK is going to take awhile. :D

All you have to do is switch out the upper onto the same lower and switch the bolt between uppers. Goto love the modularity of ARs and the compatibility with 300 BLK :D

It's generally recommended not to swap bolts on ARs since they basically become "married" to the barrel after some use, but I believe that they only send you a stripped bolt carrier, not a full bolt, so that's not an issue. I'll just put the old bolt into the new carrier and it'll be good to go. :D

I definitely love the fact I can just swap out most parts on an AR at will. :D

I am impressed with these triggers. I like the Franklin BFS, but the bolt follow was having issues. I believe Franklin just released a new generation designed to deal with bolt follow. The Echo on the other hand, is designed to defeat that issue altogether. It won't be out till Fall, it seems lots of folks have waited forever for these triggers to be released.

Not really an issue. You can swap your carrier around, won't hurt nothin.
