last year when I went, if you cc, you had a separate line (which was way shorter btw) and you went straight to the cop in his high chair and showed him your license.

What a happy story this is.Same, cc-ed last year at the state fair. Was pretty awesome skipping the metal detector line and just having to show the cop your CCL. Not the best surrounding neighborhood where you have to park, glad Texas isn't backwards like those Lib-tard states that want you to be defenseless.
Seems we need to get Mr. Abbot to say no gun ban at any event on public property. In related news, apparently Austin City Limits festival at city-owned Zilker Park, is both .06 & .07.

I'm aware, hence why we're need to get that's changed. It was Greg Abbot that ruled that.
And why can't you carry a knife but can carry a gun? Silly!

Really? I don't even know they sold them there. Lol. Took a tactic from the movie industry! No outside knives! Ha.They sell knives at the fair and don't sell guns. They want your money for a new knife of dubious quality.
That, too. We really just need gun free anything except private entities to go away.A.Texas.Yankee,
Actually, we need to get the Texas AG to notice all cities & similar entities (like ISDs, park "authorities" & "special districts") that they may NOT forbid LTC persons carrying on their premises.
yours, satx
Except that in the texas penal code, license holders are exempt from 30.06 and 30.07 signage on land that is owned or leased by a political subdivision.
You could conceal carry at ACL right past a 30.06 sign and not be breaking any laws. And our AG has said that a private entity on public property could post the signage, but a license holder would not be guilty of anything.
If you decided to open carry past the 30.07 there, you still would not be breaking any laws, but you might be asked to leave or get a ticket, albeit the charges would be dropped (if the DA could read English) or you would take it to court and win.
