Good 4 u! My kiddos are 20, 14, 12 and the other day my wife looked at me and asked me if we should adopt or be foster parents and I said HELL no Im trying to retire in the next few years. I know it sounds selfish but geez kiddos are hard work and im just feeling too damn old to start over! With that said I feel for my wife because she lives for our kiddos and I can see that it is crushing her to lose her babies....stay tuned in the next few years I may be feeling nervous as well!!!!

My son was born in 1969 and, in spite of my efforts and every dime I could spend, was stolen from me by a crafty and very cruel woman. She knew the system and made it work for her.

Instead of whining about what I didn't have, I made a new life as a single, and went from one life adventure to the next, worked on a great education, made good money as a Tech and helped a Hell of a lot of people as a teacher. It's been a good life and I have no regrets.

I read this thread and all of that old stuff came back. I forgot that some people want kids and hold that as their primary objective. I remembered how that felt and how devastated I was when she succeeded in stealing my son. Crap....That hurt! I know how you're feeling over the possibility of having a family and facing the chance (hopefully small) that it may not happen. That has to be gut wrenching.

I wish you the very best and hope that your dreams come true! Keep thinking positive and know that there's a whole herd of us at TGT that are praying for you!

Quick update. She is completely off of methadone. This was the first day of there 3 to 5 days of observation with no meds at all. It was a rough one for the little princess. Trying not to worry that it's a bad sign. Hoping it was because she is learning to adjust without any calming meds in her system. And this was day one. We will see how she does tonight tomorrow. Still hoping she is released Monday

Understand. Love babies though. So much more honest than most grown-ups. I do hope everything goes good with her though.

She is home with us. It's just a foster placement right now. There is possible family that might get custody of her. So again just one day at a time. All you dads will understand that feal in you get when you see that little one in the crib at home. Can't explain it but it is a great feeling. I'll take her as long as I can. All is well. Me and the wife are happy. The baby is doing good.

Whatever you do, just don't mention Texas gun talk. That'll ruin it for sure.

Here I sit rocking a sweet angle. U would have never thought this would be me. Losing sleep so she can sleep peacefully. It's worth it and there is always coffee.
