In the old version, we might reach a limit for attachments, and then have to delete some.
    Is that still the same?
I was unable to find the area to delete out old attachments.

Thanks. Let me know if any of the colors look a bit "washed out" to you all. Still tweaking some that I feel like are.

What is the time limit on edits? I notice that I cannot edit a post I made this morning at 6:34am.

I am unable to post pictures now.
I have tried from my computer, and from Photobucket.
    Nothing is working.

    Also, see post #22.

I haven't found yet how to delete a post. Can it be done? Can it be done after someone posts beneath it? Thanks.

I don't think this will work if you only have a photo posted, but I am not positive.
That's OK-I don't even know how to POST a photo-I guess I need to sign up for a class or something. I can cut and paste and that's about all.
That's the only thing I've had trouble with-the site's really easy...REALLY easy if I can say that. Thanks again.

I'm not too sure what's going on as far as posting photos. We'll have to look into that.

As far as post editing or deletion, this is part of the standard user permission groups, and there are restrictions on it. We may adjust these over time, depending on what issues arise, but currently when you create a post you can edit/delete it up to 12 hours afterwards, and beyond that it is locked from editing/deletion. On a lot of other sites, they may even reduce that down to say 15 minutes, to reduce the potential for abuse, but we haven't gone there yet. As far as threads, currently users can't delete threads.

Not everyone will like that, and that's fine, but it's necessary. Generally, in forums, people will often go back through their classifieds (say after a sale) and edit the post to remove the sale price and/or remove all of the content in the thread. I will never understand why people do that, and it has happened continuously here despite the number of times I've explained to people why they shouldn't. This is TERRIBLE for the rest of the users. In a case like that, it affects everyone's ability to gauge the market, price their own items effectively, etc.

In another example, and one we've dealt with in the past, sometimes users will rage-quit the site and attempt to delete all of their posts/threads in anger. It's happened before, IIRC, to the tune of hundreds or thousands of posts, though that's been awhile so I can't quite remember. Anytime a significant amount of content is removed from a site, it has the potential to negatively impact things like SEO, keyword rankings, and ultimately site traffic. So, needless to say, that won't be changing.

On the iPad, held horizontally, the sidebar on the right comes back each time a page is loaded. Scrolling down with the right thumb often accidentally clicks on a sponsor, thus opening a new window. Irritating. Resizing the window after every click to eliminate the side bar works, but it's irritating too. Besides, the sidebar is back on the next click.

Not really a bug so I will report it here.

I don't see an option to close our own classified ads.

Those of us that use that feature miss it.

The software doesn't allow thread editing without moderator privileges. Let a mod know if you need a thread closed.
I'm monitoring the classified and closing as I find "sold", or in your case, "traded".

I'll second that. And I sure don't want to click on something I am interested and read the posts only to find out in the last post that it has been sold. Sold classifieds should be marked sold in the thread title (SOLD vs WTS) and locked by the OP.
