SB 263 removing caliber restriction...any caliber for LTC now. Arthritic folks will like this one. Signed 6-9, effective 9-1.

SB1566...School districts can't keep employees/teachers who have a LTC from leaving arms/ammo that they can legally possess locked up out of sight in employee parking lots. School districts were exempted when the employee rights bill was passed awhile back. This rectifies that-but only for those having an LTC. Takes effect 9-1

SB2065- Takes volunter church security out from under the control of the Private Security Act. Takes effect 9-1.

If he can't do Constitutional Carry in the special session he just another establishment do nothing fluff-ball. All feely goody and without much substance. Doling out 2nd amendment rights bit by bit while making sure we send him money for them.

That's not on the Governor. He can't sign what our elected representatives won't write and send to him. They refused to pass legislation for Constitutional Carry...for him to bring it up in special session wouldn't make it any more likely that they would pass it now. The legislators are still doing THEIR thing to a great extent instead of OUR thing. To his credit, he has signed the pro-gun bills that they DID pass, though one of them DID greatly reduce the amount of money that we send "him".

My God, you would bitch about rain in a desert. The Governor would be all too happy to sign the Constitutional carry bill, but he can't just pull it out of his ass. The legislature has to send it to him.

I'll stand and bitch with him.
I don't see any constitutional carry stuff in the special session.
Abbot is a good man, in my opinion.
He just ain't reached the level I'm looking for.

Direct that bitching at the legislature, not the Governor. Abbot can't sign something that doesn't make it to his desk.

What part of "the Governor can't sign a bill that doesn't make it to his desk" are you having trouble with? I don't think I can dumb that down anymore than that.

Just so you know ... Vaquero expects that you understand that the Governor sets the agenda when he calls a special session. If he wants it on his desk, should he assign it when he keeps the kids after school?

    What
What all bills have been approved this session?
Cheaper permission to exercise constitutional rights.
More places to hide your "licensed" firearms.
