Looking for a matching pair of pistols to train my boys on.

Actually looking to trade, have a near-new XD9 subcompact and 2 mags

Wouldn't mind conversion kits either, be it 1911 or Sig.

Located in DFW but travel TX constantly

Look on www.cdnnsports.com they have Sig 1911 conversion for $180 for series 80 and 90. Mine works great

For their ages you might consider a Heritage Rough Rider revolver. I made my kids learn on revolvers after a rapid fire event at the range that scared me way worse than the range officer.

ugh... rapid fire sucks. I mean, I love it, but have had a WWB squib in a tiny P938 that luckily wouldn't let the next round chamber.

I do like the revolver idea, but the pistol aspect is mostly for training semiauto fundamentals.

Just taking a stab in the dark since I have this XD9 that i wouldn't mind trading.

I have 3 S&W revolvers that my daughter learned how to shoot (7yrs old) 617-2, 17-3, and 63-5 i guarantee they won't be intimidated at all. There all for sale too. Semi auto are nice but i think revolvers are better for kids. The Ruger 10/22 would be best for kids in my opinion. Best of luck op.
