House passes 'Kate's Law' and bill targeting sanctuary cities
BY CRISTINA MARCOS - 06/29/17 05:32 PM EDT

    Selected quotes:

"The House passed legislation on Thursday to crack down on illegal immigration and enact a key priority of President Trump’s known as "Kate's Law."

"In largely party line votes, the House approved two bills. One would cut off some federal grants from so-called sanctuary cities that limit cooperation with immigration authorities; the other would impose tougher sentences on criminals who have entered the U.S. illegally multiple times."

"The sanctuary city bill passed 228-195, while the sentencing bill passed 257-167."

"Three Democrats defected from their party to support taking away grants from the sanctuary localities: Reps. Matt Cartwright (Pa.), Henry Cuellar (Texas) and Collin Peterson (Minn.). Seven Republicans voted against the bill: Reps. Justin Amash (Mich.), Carlos Curbelo (Fla.), Mario Diaz-Balart (Fla.), Dan Donovan (N.Y.), Peter King (N.Y.), Dave Reichert (Wash.) and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (Fla.)."

    To All,

CALL & EMAIL both of your US Senators & remind them that these 32 laws MUST be passed. = NUCLEAR option is appropriate.

Actually I think it's too lenient, I believe that the city officials of sanctuary cities should pay fines and jail time for breaking the law. But of course that won't happen, hope it passes the senate.

as an Ex-californian, who lived in the bay area for 3 years, it BOGGLES MY MIND that there are people, my own friends, who oppose or even just downplay the importance of this.

This girl was walking with her dad at the SF piers, where we've all hung out, skated back in the day, etc. Just minding her own business and randomly killed. She worked for the same company my wife's cousin and husband work for.

How can my libtard friends not see the importance of cracking down on immigration and sanctuary cities?
    Absolutely ridiculous.

It should be illegal to pay illegal aliens any sum from public coffers. In the absence of such law, common sense and decency should dictate same but, America has lost the latter to a large degree.

A good portion of Americans I would say, and although slowly, it seems more are coming out of their PC delusion.
