It's a starting point, but getting her to give it a legitimate chance will be the hard part.

True. I tried to get my BIL to switch to vaping. He gave it a try, but didn't really have his heart in it. When I switched, I jumped in with both feet. It really wasn't any harder for me than switching brands of cigarettes. It will be seven years this month.

It looks like the FDA has extended the deadline for manufacturers to submit their products for approval. They have moved the cut-off date to August 2022.

    https://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnouncements/ucm568923.htm

The agency plans to issue this guidance describing a new enforcement policy shortly. Under expected revised timelines, applications for newly-regulated combustible products, such as cigars, pipe tobacco and hookah tobacco, would be submitted by Aug. 8, 2021, and applications for non-combustible products such as ENDS or e-cigarettes would be submitted by Aug. 8, 2022. Additionally, the FDA expects that manufacturers would continue to market products while the agency reviews product applications.

Well, she's had it for a few weeks now.
I filled the tank a little more than half full when it got here.
I don't really notice any difference in the level of it.

Probably not using it much then. I have to fill my 3 tanks daily. Or maybe she's not a heavy smoker, like I was.

Oh, she's definitely not using it.
    She's pretty much a 2 pack a day smoker.
Like I had said before, this is I believe the 4th e-cig I have bought her.
She just doesn't want to quit smoking.
Not much can be done about that.
    But I keep trying...

Maybe for a super heavy smoker try a juice that is made with nicotine salts. I haven’t tried it as I have been vaping for years and am already addicted enough to regular juice, but I hear it delivers similar amounts of nicotine to smoking.

    Thanks!

Any idea where to get it?

Ah. I’m sure you can find it somewhere online. Like I said yesterday, I have no desire to start vaping the nicotine salts, so I haven’t really looked for it. I’ve purchased from Maxvaping in the past and I remember an email advertising that salt juice.

I was surprised today when I tried to order some new cartomizers from Vapor God. First time doing business with them. I made an order for a couple boxes of dual coil 1.5 ohm cartomizers. Total came to less than $20, but they wanted $14 for shipping! So I canceled the order.

Later, I get an email from them asking if there was a problem and could they help. I replied back and told them their shipping costs were way too high for such a small, light weight item and I had cancelled the order.

I got a reply back stating that it wasn't about the size and weight, but about Texas regulations. They claimed Texas requires an adult signature for all things vape. I was very incredulous and told them so. Texas requires no such thing and I've been ordering vape supplies for years and never once been required to sign for it.

And that's where the surprise comes in. After a bit of Google research, I find reference to Texas Senate Bill 97 that actually does require an adult signature for such items. Damn. It was signed by Governor Abbot in May of 2015 and became effective 1 October, 2015. It's main purpose is to prevent minors from purchasing E-cigs and E-cig paraphernalia. I was aware of that part of it, but not the mailing requirements.

I guess ignorance really is bliss. No other retailer has ever required an adult signature as of yet, and I have made dozens of online purchases since the bill was passed.

Well, thanks Senator Juan (Chuy) Hinajosa (D), thanks a lot. And no more Vapor God for sure. :)

I seem to sorta', almost maybe, but, not quite remember that. Didn't really pay attention to it though. Obviously. Wasn't that about the time a lot of the online vendors started doing that age validation thing?
