    Look at it this way. If all guns shot to POA with the rear sight perfectly centered, there would be no need for windage adjutable sights on pistols.

    I thought the windage adjustable rear sights are to adjust for different distances to the target. You cannot do that with regular sights since they don't move up and down.

    Can you explain in terms of physics why this would be? Its not making sense to me why if the sights are centered, the shots might not be, assuming the barrel inside the slide correctly and the barrel has no damage.

    You are assuming everything is machined and assembled perfectly. Were this true, you would be right.

    But that is a bad assumption.

    Adjust the sights.

    Or left or right to adjust for misalignment of assembled parts.
    Part of assembly lines means that ALL parts are made to tolerance. Not perfection.
