Yesterday I was walking out of Walmart, my son was about 20 steps behind me.
I was OCing my G19 in my custom Kydex Texas Flag belt holster. As I was walking by, this guy was on his phone outside his truck doing something around the tailgate.
When I walked by we made eye contact and gave that guy nod and his eyes went straight down to my gun, then heard him say something about Texas as I was passing.

When my son got in the truck he said he heard the guy say to the person he was talking with. "I f-ing love Texas! A guy just walked by with a gun in a Texas Flag holster, thats the symbol of F-ing freedom!"

We had a good laugh about that. Makes me wonder what state he was from, but from the sound of him, he is welcome here.

Too bad the Forum and/or TapATalk won't allow for custom emoji.

That and other things make me appreciate living in Texas all the more. You just don't see things like that in the northwest. Best decision of my life was to point my bike south to Texas!

I have been in the Hurricane zones for two weeks now. I have seen a lot of open carry. At one of the suppliers that were loading up one of the relief trucks I was escorting, almost all of the employees were OCing. This was in Pasadena. :)

The kind of message that says looting is not welcomed here.

OC is the international symbol for "Looting Here Is Hazardous To Your Health".....

What you saw then would have been legal 40 years ago, which was 18 years before CHL in Texas. Private property with permission of the owner of the property.
