Friend of mine in high school got caught doing 136 in a 45. Heck of a fine but they didn't take him to jail. Nowadays if a 16-year-old got caught doing that...I can't imagine.
Anything over 85 in Virginia is reckless driving.
    Same as a DUI.
    Don't ask how I know.....

I also had a very similar incident (only 131mph though) happen to HS friends down in Kingsville. But the driver was the son of the Dean of what is now known as Texas A&M Kingsville.
They were taken to the cop shop and released to their parents, lol.

Beautiful place, but I can't stand the statist attitude up there. I was visiting a friend at his non-HOA house and left my car parked on the street overnight. Got a "warning" ticket for not having a parking permit. Public street! Not even an HOA neighborhood!!

Well, I was just "passing through", headed back to Houston, after buying my car there the day before.

Many, many moons ago I got cited for 103 in a 65, and I was NOT about to argue with the number. That 0 was a much higher digit. He didn't see what was going on immediately prior, and his POV from the feeder helped me out. A lot. Proof the only luck I can count on is the bad kind? I had slowed to take the exit darned near right in front of him, he didn't even have to come after me.
