I need to change my sights on my Walther PPQ. I have them in hand, have done them before, but have been too busy to do myself. They're Dawson sights and are recommended to be fit with a punch, tapping them in, and careful filing/test fitting.

Who's reasonable in price, does good work, and is relatively close to the loop OR Spring/Woodlands area to do the work?

    Thanks!

The gunsmith shop at Spring Guns & Ammo did my last set and I have no complaints. Price was $35.00 and they did it while I waited.

BTW few follow up items on this.
    A) Smith is only available at the Spring location.
    B) $35 is Glock sights. Walther they wanted $52.50+ tax.
    C) Told me to drop off and it would be a few "weeks" to get done.
    D) They make no effort to zero them and just leave them "centered".

No way I'm using that place. Any other recommendations?
Guess I need to get off my lazy butt here and do it myself...

Shiloh shooting has a gunsmith on site who will change sights out for $25, they have the tools for many guns there. It's where I got my new sights on my sig done. Willowbrook area, not too far from Spring.

Thanks for the info here! I think I'll bring it by there this Thurs and hit the range while I wait. I used to shoot IDPA there and love that spot. I'll call tomorrow to confirm and update how my experience goes.

I really enjoyed it. Good group of guys, pretty efficiently run, and valuable training. If you haven't ever done it before, I'd show up a bit early or call ahead. Explain you're new - you need to watch, understand rules, and be cleared as far as safety goes to participate. No one cares how quick of a "run and gunner" you are if you're being unsafe in any possible way (even if inadvertently). If you've shot before and just wanting to get back into the swing of things you'll be GTG. I wish I had more time to go myself.

FYI the guys up at Shiloh Range really took great care of me as always. Highest recommendations. AJ there was able to swap 2 sets of sights (Glock and Walther) both while I waited and sighted in another project. Very fair pricing!
I then shot a USPSA match with them and had a blast. Great group of guys, excellent service, and I'll be using them again for sure.

I guess we had opposite experiences. I had Shiloh install a set of Sevigny sights on a Glock right after they first opened. It's probably been almost 10 years ago, but they gouged my sight and slide up pretty good and tried to blend it in with a sharpie, which has long since worn off. I didn't make a big deal about it at the time because I knew they were just starting out and I didn't want to be an asshole. But it bugs me every time I see it now. Despite that they're good people, I just hope they do better sight installs now.
