Is the show worth going to for consumables? Everything but brass. Not counting the cost of parking and admission as my wife and I were looking for something to do today anyways. Thanks.

If I remember, there's nothing in the way of reloading supplies at that show, worth the price of admission. I guess all hows are different, but that one's usually a disappointment to me.

As an older fellow, I can remember when local gun shows were fun to go to. They would be made up of mostly like minded individuals getting together to buy, sell, and trade their firearms. They weren't the huge events of today. The majority of the vendors at recent gun shows are selling new firearms. Their firearm prices are very similar to what you would pay in a local gun store.
Then you have the candle people, the t-shirt people, the candy people, etc. I guess these vendors are there for the pleasure of the spousal units.
When I go to a gun show I want to see unusual and rare firearms. I want to BS with knowledgeable people.
If I want to look at something new and talk to a vendor with little experience, I will go to Cabela's.
But that is just my opinion.

I buy and sell many firearms each year. Most of what I buy, I buy on-line. If you do a diligent search, you can generally find the firearm you want at a good price. I recently found a gun store on-line selling the Colt Series 70 Gold Cup National Match 45 ACP (re-issue model). We bantered the sales price back and forth until they finally sold the pistol to me for $895 with free shipping. Seems they had bought 23 from their distributor and were ready to deal. http://www.colt.com/Portals/0/Specs/2016/o5870A1.pdf
Again this is my personal opinion.

Yup, the character of gin shows has definitely changed over time. I STILL go to them, but it's usually in hopes of finding things that are otherwise unobtainable.

I grew up going to the gun show in Sacramento, CA and Reno, NV. HUGE shows. You couldn’t see everything in a day.

It was the first show for my wife and son. They enjoyed it, but yeah, I wasn’t looking for an AR or a new pistol. Maybe I’ll try some of the other shows in the area.

For reloading supplies in Fort Worth, try Alpine Shooting range. If they don't have it, they can probably get it.
That’s what I’ve been told. I was in Granbury yesterday and stopped by Murle’s. I wasn’t looking to buy, but he had more powder than any other shop in the area. If you get down that way it’s worth a stop.

    In the woods...
I occasionally buy powder at the local gun show. There are several vendors at one of the Pasadena Tx shows (cannot remember which promoter) who have powder, dies, etc.). I bought a lb of unique from a vendor for shut $25 recently while unique was still hard to find.

On a different note, i was in the local Bass Pro last week and thought about buying a lb of Bullseye. It was $38!

Those were memorable shows! I spent a lot of time at the Sacramento show and occasionally set up tables there myself. Unfortunately that show is a thing of the past...given the state of that state. I started doing gun shows when you mostly just traded a gun for a gun and generally a lot of money didn't even change hands. I doubt there is any hope for that state anymore...even if they decide to flush that big Brown thing that is running their gov't.

I went mostly during the early 90’s when my dad was into 1911 kit guns and M1s. I can remember getting so tired of walking and we hadn’t even made it down stairs yet lol. Good times.

The Fort Worth Show doesn’t even allow powder.

IDK how it survives. $20 to park & get in just to see the same stuff I can buy online.

Glad I’m not the only one who pines away for the good old days of gun shows.
