bad guys should not have guns, but good people definitely need them in this world...
That's the problem, they can't regulate the bad guy, but think by further regulating the good guy they will somehow make the bad guys good. Only in fairy tales does the "and they all lived happily ever after" term work.

technology hasn't advanced enough to help us with that. So It's a big problem of should we take them all away, or keep them. The way I see it is if we take them all away, The crooks will just use knifes or other weapons. Meanwhile we will all be unarmed...

How do you propose we disarm bad people?

By fairy tales, you must mean California

Will anything legislatively come from this shooting?

I believe bump-fires will be outlawed

I don’t think high 60+ round mags will be outlawed

Are full- auto (incl bump-fire) good for the public consumption?

I don't see any good from a member of the general public owning a bump stock or a full-auto firearm. I am a Texan who loves his guns. After what just happened, we responsible gun owners have to make some concessions for the safety of the public.

^^^There will always be another concession to be had. They will never be happy until all the rights are gone. Appeasement is not a good strategy.

Bump stocks themselves are kind of a novelty and honestly don’t do anything more inherently dangerous than aiming and rapidly pressing the trigger with your finger.

Besides, rubber bands and belt loops can be used to make bump fire.

I shared your sentiment at one point, but WD and others are right.

Heaven forbid, but hypothetically let's say there are 20 more shootings in the future.

Do you have a list of 20 things related to gun rights that you're willing to give up?

And this hypothetical has happened...each act of evil cowardice has resulted in "death by 1000 paper cuts" of our 2A rights.

And once gone, they don't come back.

And consider that this tragedy actually had a hero with a gun. He had an AR with an optic. While the bad guy "slipped thru the cracks" of a background-check system that should have flagged him, a system that the almighty left bestowed upon us in the first place.

What is the left doing to give us any gun rights back in light of this?

The answer is, nothing but blame republicans. It's always a one-way street.

So as a responsible driver are you ready to give up up your ability to rent a truck ?

You may not see any need in it but why should I have to give up a fun toy because some dipstick uses it to kill people ?

^^(Except the details of “this tragedy” is in the wrong thread. We all knew you meant the church shooting, pron but for clarity’s sake this is the Vegas thread).

Totally knew what you meant though.

You do realize that a lot of people don't see any good from a member of the general public owning ANY firearms as well, right?

There are many accessories that I don't personally care for, but then I don't want to deny someone else a right to have them just because I don't care for them.

I know I'm not supposed to feed the trolls, but I'll bite- which of your possessions can we take in exchange?
I'm sure I could SEE no good coming from you having it.

If you're not a Democrat plant, then you're one of those Fudds that is fine with rights being given up as long as it doesn't affect YOU personally. I don't own a bump stock or a FA firearm, but I don't believe some liberal douchebags should be able to dictate that someone can't have something that didn't commit murder on it's own.

ETA: you could always move somewhere that they are already illegal- CA, MA, Venezuela, China, etc... I'm SURE you'll be much safer there.
