    Texas, ya'll
Today, I am respectfully asking the governor, lieutenant governor and speaker of the house of Texas to empanel a blue-ribbon Commission on Gun Violence In Texas.

    <snip>

You probably should edit your original post to put QUOTE tags around it so that it is plain that it is not *you* who is the idiotic RINO that is making this statement.

just enforce the ones on the books I forget the exact numbers but 4800 criminals tried to buy guns and were rejected of the 4800 It was 44 or 4 that were prosecuted.

I could get behind a common sense gun law that was something like this.

Mandatory 10 years added to your sentence no early release if you use a gun in a violent crime.

So, if you kill someone with an ax, you get less of a penalty than if you shoot them? Total BS... Punish the crime, not the tool used to facilitate the crime.

The root cause of violence (regardless of the tools used in it) is OVERPOPULATION. If you decrease the population density, there is less chances to interact with others and thus less chance for conflicts.

So, it's pretty simple... People just need to quit screwing! The problem will go away within 100 years.

Are you planning on running for office? And is that your platform?

I looked for how to put it in quotes I posted it but I couldn't find the tags in the sheet. I'll try to edit it now. New site design is a pain.

update I tried can't find an edit button oh well.

That's the conclusion Skynet came to and we all know how that ended. :boom:

Unlike all the politicians so far, I have proposed a solution that will within the foreseeable future actually *work*. And if people are truly serious about wanting to control violence, then they'll do their part, right?

If people want to test it out, I propose that we start out by just having the liberals quit breeding (since the offspring of liberals are more likely to also have that same mental deficiency). Maybe each of them could refrain from breeding for 60 years and we'll see how that works out.

    :)

No you end up with the same sentence cause the gun add ons are for the most part unenforced. Just look at the stats for the number of people actually convicted after trying to buy guns and failing a NICS check for valid reasons. You’ll have better luck finding a unicorn.

Just look at Cali where they are droppping the gun charges cause they are racist or some junk.

As for the idea of population control. It’s really not the number of people on the planet that matters with regards to crime (resource depletion is another story); but rather the kind of people. Hard working professionals who invest time and effort into their children have fewer kids. The sperm donor, cum dumpster combo squirts then out in litters. Bad for humanity. Society refuses to let nature take its course and leave these animals to simply die, instead we reward stupid behavior. Double down on stupid. We then refuse to remove known violent offenders from society, instead we recycle them to be used as further restrictions on the law abiding. Strike 3.

Garbage in = garbage out. Guess where we as a society stand.

Well, I'm a Strict Constitutionalist and as such, I believe that the 2nd Amendment is absolute and every piece of legislation that came afterwards that tries to restrict our 2nd Amendment rights is unconstitutional. Of course, that includes NFA32, CGA68, and anything else that came along. I am not concerned with former felons being able to buy guns. The Founding Fathers did not see fit to restrict the rights of felons from owning firearms when they were released from prison, so obviously they did not consider that an acceptable infringement. If a person is still a danger to society at the completion of his sentence and as such cannot be trusted with a firearm, maybe we should consider whether he should be released. Gun laws will not prevent evil people from owning guns. They only prevent people who are willing to follow the laws from owning them.

Don't use the number of people who fail NICS checks as an indication of people who can't buy guns under our current unconstitutional infringements. Sometimes, you just have a name too similar to someone that is a felon or whatever. Sometimes things get entered into the databases wrong. I remember some cases back when they started this unconstitutional mess where it seemed that if you had a secret security clearance, it might not pass the NICS check. Hell, I've known people who had a CHL that would get turned down on the instant NICS check if they went that route when purchasing a firearm instead of just showing their CHL.

Before I got my LTC, I was delayed almost every time by NICS. Most would be surprised, or maybe not, at the number of LE that are delayed or denied by NICS. It is a joke. A poor one at that.

Many that have been in the military get delayed on things like that. The military is very slow to release records.

Yes. When my father-in-law passed it took almost 3 years to stop his disability check. Even had a lawyer send them a notice we would only refund the principle. So any non-monetary task they should be doing is probably an even lower priority.
