Hello from Westbury, excited about the Houston part of the forum

Wife and I just closed on a house yesterday in Westbury, zoned to some good schools for my kids. Already posted in the greetings. Just wanted to say hey to my local people here. LOVE the fact we can talk to local peeps here in our area.

I am getting back into shooting again. Love Boyert, Top gun, and American shooting center. I am also looking to get a suppressor and SBR a lower soon. Probably going through silencer shop kiosks.

I have 2 main questions.

1. Where do you shoot rifles at further distances outdoors, besides American Shooting Center?
2. What is your experience with sbr’s and suppressors here in Houston?

1. Where do you shoot rifles at further distances outdoors, besides American Shooting Center?

I personally don't shoot long-range but a few of us around here are members of Bayou Rifles, a private shooting club. One of our two ranges, the Juliff range down south, goes out to 1,000 yards, but you either have to be a member of the club, a guest of a member, or shooting in a match to use the range.

I can't think of any other range in the Houston area that has a 600+ yard range but there might be.
