I was on premiers website and they removed the round rock page....
I just went to look for myself and indeed they have. Speculation here, but I don' think there were any more dates for this year and it may just be down until they have next years schedule? I havent heard anything about them cancelling shows, but it is the greater Austin area.

The internet has taken the "special" out of the gun shows. Sellers can't or won't compete with online prices and we can buy beef jerky at the Beaver gas station. Why should we pay to park and an admission fee for overpriced tacticool plastic stuff they ordered off the internet too. Not much show in a gun show anymore.

At the last show was there a ND in the morning right after the doors opened?

    Sounded like one.

If some dumbass put a bullet in the wall or ceiling might possibly be related to no more shows.

ND happened in the early nineties in Houston and the shows in the city ended for a couple of years. Took a law suit to get use of the facilities allowed again.

This. The last few shows I went to were retarded. Prices were at or above retail firearms. Lots of tables with the jersey, jewelry, stupid t shirts... I felt like an idiot paying to get in.

I love gun shows and hope they keep coming.

There are always deals to be found. They may not be on what you are looking for or right in front of your face, but they are there.

Yes, you can save a buck shopping online but can you hold the gun first? Can you haggle or trade online? Can you converse face to face with the seller?

The experience itself makes it worth it. There is nothing like meeting a bunch of fellow gun lovers.

Just looked again and still nothing. I like gun shows too. While I agree most prices are not good anymore I go in expecting to buy nothing. I like being able to kill a few hours cruising around checking out stuff and touching things. I still find deals when I look hard enough. The Premier show in Round Rock was one of the best I have been too in years. The overall size of it makes it worth the 10 minute trip and 10 bucks to get in.

Seems the last Premier show I attended in Round Rock was over a year ago. It was the best one in the Austin area in many years....

I got the same e-mail. I was a little confused because the last time I checked the website, which was a month or so ago, they had no shows listed at all for Austin/Round Rock.

Does anybody have more details about the negligent discharge? I thought they gave up because of scheduling problems like they had with the Cedar Park Center.

This is a real shame. That was a very good show. Now we don't have anything, and per their website they aren't even going to San Antonio any more.

This is all I can find (written in the comment section of link below)

It was a good event, but one of the vendors accidentally fired his weapon and scared everyone in the whole place. The sign clearly stated as we walked in NO LOADED guns in event area. Just wondering why he was aloud in with loaded weapon!!!!!!!

    San Antonio!
Nope, Premier ended their San Antonio shows in June last year due to poor attendance and issues with the venue (owned by Bexar county). They said they hope to come back sometime in the future, but given SAXET's grasp on the gun show market here, I am not holding out too much hope as this was the second time they (Premier) tried. That's a real shame as the Premier shows were far better and had a greater variety than SAXET (which seems to have lost a few good vendors when we went earlier this month). I think it's just the way of the gun show, they can't compete with online vendors. I am still a fan of them, but it looks like our only options in this part of Texas are SAXET and the smaller promoters which target the areas not served by the large shows... :(
