I started out looking to build a 300 Blackout upper to fit my AR platform, but it looks like the upper will be awhile getting here, settled for Aero Precision. Then today I stopped by SKArms and an Aero stripped lower followed me home. I liked the Rise Armament 434 drop in trigger that I recently bought for my 5.56 so much I ordered that and the Odin Works buffer and stock kit. So now it looks like I will have the lower built before the upper gets here, and I will have a complete rifle instead of an add on upper.
Good on you! I'm now working on a AR pistol in 300 BLK trying to get it picking up the next round. For some reason it doesn't want to do that. Next visit to the range will include other magazines and at some point I may have to work on the barrel port.

Is the buffer heavy enough? Or light enough?

Light would be better, I think. But I've got the light buffer weights in there (4.5 oz.) so I'm going to try some different mags and see if that's the problem. Lighter buffers should make it work better, according to my friends that know more than I do.

A standard Mil Spec is 3 oz I believe.

    Had some luck.

Went pawn shopping yesterday and as usual. They pull out the inventory that's been building up from missed pawn tickets for Christmas sales. One pawn shop had a pile of leather coats laying on the floor by some discount junk. Going through the pile, it had a Dr Evil looking coat and some other pimp coats. The type of stuff you need oil in your hair to pull off wearing.

Then I found a motorcycle 'leather Shirt'. Made by by a company called First Classics. Practically brand new. The pawn sold it to me for $10. Retail is about $150.

    Score.
