I've been meaning to post this for a while now.
I live in Rockport...nuf said about that.
I'm a long time silhouette shooter, sporting clay shooter and bulls-eye pistol shooter.
I retired here because it was my favorite place to fish...but I've been here over a year and haven't caught anything worth talking about. The hurricane took out most of my fishing spots, so I travel 40 miles to the Bob Hall Pier occasionally or surf fish near Fish Pass.
I reload on dreary days and am working on the ideal 25-20 load for my Lever Action Silhouette rifle (a newish Marlin 1894).

We love to visit Rockport. How's things faring after Harvey?

Well, FEMA left without doing much. People are still camping in tents. Our request for help gets turned down every 30 days. There are no hotels open. Only a few restaurants have opened back up. The condo I live in was damaged, but the repairs stopped because FEMA stopped paying and so did the Texas Wind Insurance. All the fishing spots are gone. Port Aransas got it worse and will be years in recovery. Trumps wife came and bought french fries at the Whataburger - yea, we needed that kind of help. 28 million cubic feet of trash is piled in the median of HY 35. Little Bay is still full debris. It'll be many years before Rockport recovers fully

But, its nice to see that Houston has recovered.

Sorry, hurricane recovery is a sore topic in Rockport.
