    I live out in the country, not in the city limits, and people are shooting all the time. Everyone has a backstop, there's a lot of land behind us, no houses that way, Just on each side. I shoot my shotgun down at the ground from a distance it doesn't even leave our property.

And when someone finds something currently relevant for a thread that's been dead for 5 years, that means they're not just contributing useful info but using the search function as well.

    I don't know about Houston but I know in 2 small towns close to where I live it is not illegal to shoot in the city limits as long as the bullet does not leave your property and no one complains about the noise. Different towns have different laws.
