Of course you don't, but what's that got to do with anything? My SiCo Omega9K and Omega45K cans both have adapters for 1/2x28 threaded barrels, and these adaptors eliminate the booster completely. I've also got a larger adapter for the 45K to use with .45ACP barrels.
Well, I have 4 different adapters for my SiCo Octane, including 3 lug.
What's that got to do with anything?

The Colt 9mm has 1/2-36 threads. Other than the UZI, which uses metric threads, or a HK with 3-lug, it's been around longer than about any 9mm carbine.
It was long the standard for 9mm.

Yet the standard for 9mm suppressors became 1/2X28 in the US. Crazy ain't it.

yeah, and 1/2x36 has fallen WAY behind these days. I have HK and Sig 9mm pistols with 13.5x1 LH threading, but my factory Beretta M9 barrel is threaded 1/2x28. My Bobcat Weapon BW5 HK 9mm MP5 clone is threaded 1/2x28 and has three-lug, the same as my POF MP5 9mm clone. My Freedom Ordnance FX9 9mm carbine and FX9 pistol are threaded 1/2x28.

Other than HK and Sig as pointed out above... all my 9mm SMG's, carbines and pistols are 1/2X28......

No dog in the hunt, but 1/2X28 is the most commonly used thread pitch today for 9mm's made in the USA.....

    Changing the narrative...

No, I didn't change any narrative. Don't need to. What's standard in the US is all that's relevant to a gun being manufactured and sold in the US.

All this talk is making me want to go shoot some suppressed 9mm.

I got a Glock AR in 9mm (which wasn’t much more than $500 and doesn’t look so fugly btw)....but I still have the itch for the Sig MPX in an SBR.

Some one needs to contact Palmetto State Armory and let them know they are threading the 9mm uppers they sell to the non standard 1/2 36 and need to change it asap. And then recall all the ones they have sold and re thread them.

    . . . . . cause.

I don't remember what threading I have on my barrel. I'm an internet newb and will end my suffering.

If......the most common 9mm pistol and carbine thread is 1/2X28.....it could/should be considered ...."the standard"....yes?

Who has to call it the standard before it is....the standard?

Is there an official person somewhere who is charge of naming the most common thread "the standard"?

Inquiring old decrepit and fleeting short term memory minds want to know....
