Haven't seen many Noveskes around here, maybe a lower here or there at a pawn shop, anyone know of any places that have them in stock daily?

Not really but that can be an interesting search on a weekend after breakfast. There are enough pawn shops around Killeen that you might find one.

This list is a start. Gander Mountain is closed and McBride's is in Austin (I have purchased weapons there but deals are not normal).

Did you try asking Noveske? https://www.noveske.com/

Since they sell directly from their web site I doubt you will find too many stocking dealers. I know that at one time Rainier Arms in WA was one, but that doesn't help you here.

Why pay Texas sales tax? Just order from Noveske and have it shipped, but the OP seemed to indicate he want to see and hold before he bought.

I'm not certain you have thought your comment through there Austin - if you order a Noveske upper or other parts and have it delivered to your home (as I have done before) then your comment is valid........, but (there always is one don't'cha know)

However if you order a complete rifle from Noveske you will have to have it delivered to a TX FFL dealer, like the aforementioned Quantico Tactical - where you will pay a transfer fee and TX tax on the purchase.

No getting around it (unless like me ya got Farm tax exempt status - and my local FFL guy doesn't charge tax because it's for varmint control on the farm).

Not having done it myself, I have always been under the impression the if you paid Noveske (or anyone else out of state) for the purchase you would only be paying the FFL fee at the receiving transfer agent.

Perhaps it's me that wrong here or maybe it is erroneous info I got from a bad FFL looking to pocket the extra 8.25%.....hummm

Regardless, I believe what the OP wants is to see and touch actual Noveske models at a stocking dealer and if that is the case, OP is going to need to contact Noveske to find the nearest stocking dealer.

If I know what I wanted, however, I would just buy it directly from Noveske and have is shipped to a local receiving FFL for transfer. But that is me.

But unless the OP steps back into this thread we will never know what they really want.

This is correct. I have never paid taxes on a firearm that I bought online unless it is shipped from somewhere else in Texas. Only the transfer fee.

Same here. My first build, I picked up my lower in Belton at Love's and I only paid the FFL transfer fee.
It makes sense - because you already purchased the item and applicable sales taxes (or no taxes). I really like shopping at DSG Arms, Primary Arms and Lanbo's, because I believe in supporting Texas businesses. But man I do not enjoy the sales tax. Fortunately for me, DSG and Primary offer military discount, which balances it out. But it kills me when an Army buddy of mine calls me and tells me about this great deal he got from Primary or DSG and lives out of state. Oh well, still no greater place I'd rather live.
