I would like to encourage everyone to checkout the Gun Owners of America. You can join for as little as $20 per year. Even if you don't join just check their website.

Here is a link to the GOA website: https://gunowners.org

This past year, I changed from an annual membership to a Lifetime membership with GOA. I’ve also done the Amazon Smiles ordering thing for the last few years (it slowly adds up for them). I would likewise, encourage everyone to place their Amazon orders through ‘Amazon Smiles’ with the Gun Owners Foundation charity selected as the recipient- do this even if you’re not a GOA member (you’ll be helping the 2A cause & as mentioned, it doesn’t cost you anything). GOA is a strong and growing force; check out their You Tube Channel too. They are sufficiently politically rabid about Second Amendment causes to suit my taste!

They get my 20 bucks every year, and have for at least the last five years. After I'm done paying off TSRA I will be getting a life membership with them. On top of the Amazon Smiles thingy.

I tend to follow a couple other things they do. First, I tend to do their email notification thing on political matters. That’s where they’ll send you a pre-written email letter on a topic (generally expressing support for a House or Senate bill) and you effectively endorse the letter by signing it (typing your name) and sending it to your member of Congress (MC - which is also pre-addressed). It creates just another ‘data point’ for your MC in their tracking of public sentiment and only takes a minute to do.

The second thing I do, is follow the GOA’s recommendation concerning who to vote for as an NRA Director - for those having NRA Board Director voting privileges.

Seems like once or twice a year, GOA will also send (via snail mail), a couple of pre-written post cards - again, addressed to your MC - advocating they support a particular bill. You sign those and put a 34 cent postcard stamp on them and mail ‘em. Just another way to communicate your 2A views to your House or Senate member.

The only bad {downside} thing I’ve noticed in recent months is, GOA has gotten as bad as the NRA about sending incessant funding raising emails. (Since, as my parents used to say, “I’m not made out of money” - I tend to just delete those emails).

Creating a different email address for just NRA/GOA and the like was helpful for this.

I came here to advocate for the same thing. I just joined with a Life Membership. The NRA is cool and all, but they are too close to politicians and have folded under pressure. I am a NRA life member as well and I will continue to try to prop them up. Vote Adam Kraut for board of directors.

I’d second that (about the GOA). Me = Life member of both.

It is good to hear that there are several GOA members here.

Several years ago I asked the GOA for some pamphlets and they sent me some. I gave them to everyone that I knew that might join and I left several of them at the barber shop. I don't know exactly how many people joined because of my efforts but there were some. I am going to order some more of them to hand out again. If you order 100 of them they are only 3 cents each. If anyone wants to order some here is a link to the page where you can order them: http://gunowners.co/brochure
