FWIW I currently own 4 or 5 complete ARs, one of which is a nicer LWRC, 4 or more receiver sets, and have sold off a few over the years.

So I'm not a hater. I still plan to build the rest of my receivers one day, and I still need to get quality optics on pretty much all of them.

Carried a M16 back in the 60's, have an AR now, but none of the answer options work for me. It ain't love, it is practicality.

my biggest regret still is srlling my saiga Nov/Dec 2015 thinking I'd just buy another one.

something about the decent kick, and the hallmark bolt/charging sound.

That is painful to hear. I have a Saiga and a VEPR and I dont ever plan on getting rid of them

I enjoy shooting ARs and tinkering with them. Can't say its love tho.

Edit: Give me a hint. What's lamp?
it's a line from the movie anchorman. it makes no sense.

maybe love is the wrong adjective, though a lot of people sure do obsess over then like it's love.

then again, I could say I love shooting pistols the same way I love trucks or food.

I like the fact that they are simplistic enough to build and knowing I will have a one of a kind. There is a satisfaction to building and firing that first projectile into a target.

Don't know, but I voted for it. :beat:

Like others, see them as more useful then any sort of love, but I would think that looking at what I had one would argue it might be more of a fetish. I definitely seem to be hoarding AR and AR accessories over the past couple years.

300BLK is my go to ranch rifle as well.

It is responsible for a whole truckload of pigs and varmints being eradicated. It’s been mistreated and always puts the bullet on target.

My 223 is just fun to shoot. I like to hunt with it too.

Currently buying parts to help my daughter build one of her own. (She’s buying some of the parts as well)

Love is such a strong word.....

I do enjoy shooting them, especially the bull barrel.

And I'm not sure there is a more fun thing than a mag dump on a herd of pigs.

5.56, 223, 7.62, 6.8, 30-06 - they are pretty versatile I guess - of course the scopes on most of these cost more than the rifle did.......

    That last one is purdy!!!

Bought that Les Baer Ultimate Sniper 308 BNIB, from a guy with female problems for $2K cash in a Pawn Shop parkin lot, (happen'd to be inside when they low-ball'd him and he stormed out mad - I got to him before he left). All I did was add a Leupy MK4 to it and bought a few Magpuls - she's a shooter and a bargin.

The architecture is truly one of the best ever because it has 2 major components:

    1) Lower group

    3) Upper group

By adding a new upper you can have a truck load of different calibers.
