Assume some of you have heard about this... Double shooting in Copperfield (NW corner of Houston)
    http://www.khou.com/article/news/cr...wounded-in-cypress-neighborhood/285-518881506

This is right down the street from my house and practically right around the corner from the elementary school my daughter goes to...

Chatter on the NextDoor app is that the two victims were mother / son, but don't know for sure. Yet the sheriff's office says they are not looking for a suspect...

    Strange...

Within 4 years, four people have died on my street. Three people have been shot including a teenage female, another was a drive by, the other was the cops shot him, and the fourth I forgot what the deal was. He's dead anyway. I've seen KPD swat enforce a warrant 5 houses down. U.S. Marshals did a warrant caddy-corner from my house. Somebody even shot the security guard at the Subway sandwiches down the road.

You'll be ok. Houston isn't bad.

They'll be considering outlawing AR-15 again soon. Maybe they ought to outlaw your street while they're at it.

I was at Raising Cane's in Ft Worth around 7pm last night and didn't realize the police shot and killed a deranged boyfriend in the parking lot 3 hours earlier. Just a couple of miles away from my son's house.

My street is pretty decent. I walk the dogs and leave the door unlocked and garage open. I walk past the driveway that the blood spot. It's long gone. Dogs don't care. It's about the walk.

I am in Copperfield too and while it is still a "nice" neighborhood, I don't even do yard work without being armed. The world can be a scary place. I heard of a shooting somewhere in Houston last year where a couple of guys were hanging out in the back yard had to shoot a random attacker who came back there for no reason.

The only place I don't carry is at work (teacher).
