    I'm confused.
We're pissed off because rental companies are dumping the NRA.
But we're going to dump the NRA.

    ???

    LOL
On that note, this morning NRA's website finally saw fit to allow me to use a credit card to re-up.

Couple things going on... 1) The NRA screwed up, is suffering from cronyism, and we need some way to let the NRA know we're not going to tolerate them screwing their members. 2) Companies are dropping their endorsements of the NRA based on autistic screeching coming from the useful idiots.

It's about what the NRA represents, not what the NRA is doing in at the moment.

I won’t tell anyone what companies not to use. I’m glad to know which ones don’t care for NRA members. I don’t rent that many cars but this list is good to have for when I do.

Well, it is with regret that I need to add KEGL, 97.1 The Eagle (a ClearChannel/iHeartRadio) or specifically the Russ Martin Show to my list of companies I will no longer patronize. Fucker can't even tell the difference between a AK and a AR but keeps ranting on how nobody needs them. Might as well listen to NPR if I wanna hear that.

I still don't understand exactly how these car companies are dumping the NRA. What exactly are they (Budget, Enterprise, etc) doing to the NRA? Not allowing them to rent cars? Not sponsoring?

It has to do with perks. NRA had an agreement with many companies to give discounts to NRA members.

After decades of proudly pulling in business by affiliating themselves with the NRA by giving discounts to NRA members, they now decided to cut these ties. Kinda as if Golden Corral were suddenly to try to cater to a hip crowd and disavowing their AARP customers ;)

I think that would be more healthy for the AARP crowd if they boycotted Golden Corral.

So with all this talk about companies leaving the NRA, I'm curious about the new NRA carry insurance program. I don't have it, but have read conflicting accounts of who provides it and whether it will continue.

One says Chubb underwrites it and it's done, the other says Lockton Affinity and no comment. Anyone have this insurance and can shed some light on it?

Well in the words of Dentarthurdent, we'll see who rusts first.
I can't really speak for all Golden Corrals, but the one and only time that I went kids were putting their hands on the food and a couple of employees had a fight in the middle of the restaurant. Needless to say, I did not go back.
