I certainly didn't mind them much when their numbers were lower, but their packs have gotten a lot bigger and they are a lot more bolder. They are very much a nuisance now.

Even when I was a kid, the rule was that if you saw one loping along even on a neighbors land, you stopped, grabbed your rifle from the rifle rack in your truck and shot it.

Of course, being an in-town resident who drove a car I never did so but I know classmates who did and the landowners were always supportive.

Coyotes are protected "citizens" of Austin. Lethal force is only used against the ones that attack humans: https://austintexas.gov/sites/defau...ices/Coyote_Policy_as_approved_by_council.pdf

    LOL
I've only been in this state 5 years now, and for the most part I love the state of Texas, but there are a few places I have grown to loathe here and Austin I believe tops the list. It could be that I just don't understand how a place like that, and I'm sure was a nice place at one time, could be in Texas and the capital no less. Try showing that to those that own livestock that live all around my area, they may shoot the coyote second.

You do seem to dwell on it and you don't even live here. What are the other places so we don't have to feel alone in your loathing?

Hell, you act as if I'm the reason Austin is a liberal bastion of contempt. I have been there though, didn't take long to figure out I was out numbered.

That's like grandma getting a boob job.

I'm married to grandma. I'm not completely opposed to this as long as we get it in writing how often I'm allowed to play with the new toys.

Don't really care much about the cat though. Those are a dime a dozen.
