I’m from the area so this post caught my attention. According to google it’s an old firearms manufacturer that closed in the 70s. That was before my time so I never heard of them.

I submit that these two sentences mean completely different things:

    (1) Ranger arms Gainsville, TX; and
    (2) Ranger Arms, Gainsville, TX.

The former seems to indicate that some unspecified "Ranger" (possibly a Texas Ranger?) is in the process of arming the city of Gainsville, TX. The latter seems to indicate a company--Ranger Arms--possibly located in Gainsville, TX.

Oh, and yeah--I read the thread title and thought the OP was indicating the former rather than the latter.

Yes, Ranger arms inc. Was in business from 67 to 78. The Copany was owned by Homer Koon! I'm just looking for info on the twist rates for his rifle. This is not to be confused by Ranger Firearms, two totally different companies

    Gunz are icky.
My old gunsmith had one. It was a 7mm mag IIRC.
It was a really slick looking bolt action with a laminated wood stock.
The layers were black walnut and white maple. Had a black walnut forend tip.
Quite dramatic looking for its era.
