big HELLO to everyone @ TGT!! koddc here, "newbie". I guess this is the way to start up a chit-chat about my favorite handgun. would like to talk to all who are familiar with this company.

dan wesson had FACTORY INSTALLED barrels from 2" to 15". that 15 incher is a real HOOT !

Have a couple myself. As soon as I get home I'll get some pics.
I didn't acquire them quite as long ago as some of yall, but definitely before the price seemed to shoot up on them.
I get a daily email of new DW listings on GB hoping to snag another, but they generally end up selling for $500+ and that's a bit more then I want to spend. Though, don't get me wrong, I think they are awesome pieces, it's just I got that $250 -$300 price in my head from years ago and it seems to stop me from spending more ... I'm the same way with a few other platforms as well.

It's a 629 Classic in 44 mag. My father bought in about '92 at Gibson's while visiting here in Kerrville. I added the grips. It shoots extremely good. It was left to me after his passing.
