    Are those rings pure lead?
Not completely sure. At first, I thought they were, but after casting with them, there seems to be something else in them as they dont cast like pure lead. There is a guy on castboolits.com who tests lead for content. You ship him a sample and an extra pound of lead as payment. He tests it and sends you the results. I need to ship him some to test!

How do you get the gas check on it?
Looks to me like a Lee push through die. I have one for my 9mm. Works great.

Yep, put the check on the bullet and press through the die. Seats, crimps and sizes both the check and bullet at the same time. Quick and easy!

If ya want to get rid of it let me know....

Nah, I want to keep it all. Just need to learn how to use it.

Two melters, a 5-gallon bucket full of bullet and fishing weight molds. Just bought some lead ingots last week. I'm going to learn how to do this stuff this summer.

I found a bullet my 6x45 upper likes, 87gn VMAX. Loaded up more to test with X-Terminator and 8208. I have the same bullet loaded up for my 6BR to test when I can get out there. Getting ready to vaporize some P-dogs and wabbits.

Sized 5 quarts of bullets. Yeah I keep the unsized ones in quart size plastic cups. Four quarts of .45 and one of 9mm.

Put the last coat of Hi-Tek on close to 1000 10mm bullets.

Still feeling pretty good I loaded 300 rounds of .45 ACP with H&G68 bullets over 4.4 gr WST. Yeah I have an actual H&G 68 four cavity mold. Then I loaded up 100 rounds of the RCBS 201 gr SWC over the same 4.4 gr WST. Finally I loaded 100 of the RCBS over 3.5 gr of IMR Target.

Now that I'm done I realize my right shoulder is killing me.

Loaded up 30 300 blk plinking test loads. 160 gr cast/GC bullet with IMR 4227 and OAL of 2.030. 10 of each

    15.9 gr
    14.9gr
    13.5 gr

My plan is to keep stepping down till either the accuracy falls off or I run into feed issues. Then, step back up to the lightest load that functions well and is decently accurate and tweak from there.

Only issue I have, so far, is that the feed ramp does one heck of a number on the soft lead bullets! I cycled the bullets in the last 2 pics through the rifle 4 times checking for feed and ejection issues. Each time put a new gouge in the nose of the bullet. Not too worried about itaz it shouldnt effect accuracy at the short ranges I shoot this gun (open sights less than 100 yds).

Cast, sized, and lubed 126 230 gr .45 bullets and they are drying now. May be a while before I get to load them up, but at least they will be ready!
