Outdoor free ranges in North Houston?

Bear Arms range is between Onalaska and Livingston on the 190.

Only 45min from Conroe/Woodlands up the 45 to Huntsville -

Take a right on the 190 about 5min past Onalaska on the right side of road...

That's roughly 90 miles from downtown Houston. The "official" range map for Houston TGT is here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewe...&ll=29.842460949531784,-95.40390560375596&z=9 and is limited to a 50 mile radius.

Nevertheless, if you're already in The Woodlands or Atascocita, it's not a ridiculous drive.

I note that the range points west-southwest so it's probably nicest in the mornings.

Okay, this is new to me, but who call tell us how much land you need to OWN in or around Houston (say, Spring, Conroe, Magnolia) to be able to shoot on it?

Surely, if hunting leases can be had, shooting leases can. And it might be a good investment for someone.

10 acres minimum ( I believe that is the law and someone can correct me on that) and then you're looking at landscaping costs for bullet stops...
