Oakley, If you are a vet, you can send them a Pic of your ID card or DD214 and they will get you into the Standard Issue side. Oakley SI. Military discounts very nice

Bad advice. It is against the law to send a copy of a military ID card to them or any other commercial establishments under Title 18, U.S. Code, Part I, Chapter 33, Section 701...

The only exception are civilian and military medical providers are authorized to photocopy military ID as proof of insurance.

That made me think . So I just contacted Oakley. They said you just need to fill out their form and they would be able to identify you as a military person. I have no idea how they could get that info, but they do.

Something must have changed. When I signed up you had to show proof that you were in the military or LE at one time or another. I had to show documentation that I was in the veteran but all I had was my reserves paperwork at the time. I had been out for more than 12 years. They wouldn’t take it initially because it wasn’t a DD214. After a call to them they finally excepted it.

Would active duty personnel have a VA ID card?

Well I'm sure you could get a letter from your commander stating you are in the military. I know if I wanted something done with my PAC clerk, I just show up with a case of beer. But if you are active, you don't have access to a liaison with Oakley? We did. If I was still in I would practicly get them for free

They may have. It's been 25 years since they were given to me last. I know where there is a warehouse full of them, but they are guarded by MP's.

I like them too. Just got the new Oakley gas cans. I had them sent out and had transitional lenses put in them. Bad ass. It was a one time thing. I'm trying to get the people I deal with to put transitional lenses in my m frames
