    That place east of Waco....
Target Master in Garland. Don't bother with Frisco Gun Club or Bullet Trap.

    http://targetmasters.com/
I did Targetmasters, mainly because they had a rental Colt Delta Elite 10mm.....a gun I've lusted after for decades. After renting it and firing 50 rounds of full-power SIG ammo, that lust has been abated. I'll stick with my .357Mag revolvers.....

    Thanks again!

Targetmasters is not far from my home. It has been many, many years since I last shot there. Has the atmosphere and overall conditions improved? Last time I was there everything in the range area had a light gray powder film on it. The range ventilation was terrible. The guys up front weren't very friendly either.
The Bullet Trap in Plano is a step up, not much. Last time I shot there they confiscated all of my 200 gr lead .45 ACP reloads and made me shoot their 230 gr factory ammo. It was pretty pricey too. Their excuse for not letting me shoot my lead reloads was, they didn't want that much lead going down range. Hum, 200 versus 230. The math didn't add up.
Frisco is the nicest indoor range I have been to. Generally the front people are cordial and the range AC blows directly down your neck and toward the targets downrange. Ranging the targets in feet as opposed to yards makes you think. You can also shoot lead bullets. They frown on tracer rounds, like some numbnuts found out one Sunday morning. The rifle range lighting is on the dim side. Some guy brought tracer rounds so he can watch the bullet trails. He was unaware the tracer trails was caused by slow burning powder in the back of the bullet. He was quickly shown the front door and told never to return. Same thing happened at the DFW Gun Range with much worse results.
As far as pistol ranges, my favorite place is Elm Fork Shooting Park on Luna Road. The Range Officers are diligent in their range observations and safety is paramount. Besides it is outdoors where nature takes care of the gunpowder problems. Occasionally, if the wind is just right, you get the pungent aroma coming off of a distant waste water treatment plant. It is at that time I regret not being indoors. My favorite time to shoot is when they first open. What better way to start the day than sending a few hundred rounds downrange?
Interested to hear the current conditions at Targetmasters.

When I went, the place was a little dusty, but the people were polite. I don't have a lot of experience with indoor ranges (Champion in College Station mainly), but Targetmasters seems good to me.

I’m on the wrong side of DFW to comment, but if you come wear toward Fort Worth you can check out Alpine, Winchester Gallery, Shoot Smart, or Shoot Point Blank. I guess Bass Pro has a range by DFW airport too? No idea on prices though

Benbrook? I can be in Benbrook in 10mins. It takes at least 30-45 mins to get to Dallas. How can Benbrook be considered close?

I didn't say Benbrook was close to Dallas. I said DFW gun range was.

I did say, that at the time the thread was originally posted, that the Benbrook location for Shoot Smart wasn't open yet. It's been a while and that location is open now if you'd like to go there.

My bad, so many members were recommending ranges nearby, that I thought the OP had specified that.

A quick glance showed he made NO mention of distance. I'll shut up and go sit in a corner now.

Eagle is much nicer than dfw gun range but dfw gun allows rapid fire. It also tends to get super busy, if its busy the people are a little sketchy (shooters) and the RO typically sits behind the glass.. I'd go to dfw during off hours.
