I'm fostering this sweet pit puppy. We think he's about 2 1/2, maybe 3 months. He was turned in to a kill shelter in west Texas after being attacked by another dog. He has a scar and a bit of a lump on his back from the attack but otherwise seems to suffer no ill effects. However, the rescue group will cover the cost of any additional treatment if such is required.

He's got a great disposition and will turn out to be an awesome dog, I think. Very treat motivated. He gets along with kids and other dogs and shows no aggression to either, although he does like to play hard with our rescued male pointer mix, who gives it right back. I haven't had him around cats so I don't know how that would work. He has beautiful coloration, almost like a Weimaraner. I'm in Austin but we can take him wherever he needs to be for the right family. PM me if you would like more information.

Cute lil' f'er. What breed is that red splatted dog in pic #2? Looks just like the dog that decided to adopt me.

We were told he was a pointer mix, but I'm not sure. Probably has a little pointer, a little pit, maybe a little lab. Had one guy insist he was a catahoula, which I can also see a little of. Whatever he is, he's been an awesome dog and really enjoys playing with that puppy.

That's about what I figured this on this one too. Other than the white markings behind the ears of the one in your pic, I woulda' thought that was my dog in your pic. I actually did when I first saw it. Mine is a stray that just showed up with some injuries of his own that I took care of, and he just ain't never left. They might be kin by the looks of it.

I couldn't take him, my cat Sammy does not play well with dogs. I brought a pit bull home once and Sammy destroyed a mini-blind trying to get away from him.

Dadgum dog insisted on snuggling with me that night! Next day, his owner changed his mind and wanted it back.

Here's a picture from our morning walk yesterday. This deer did not want to get out of our way for some reason. The dog was more puzzled than anything.
