Hit the range today with my new Ruger PCC. At 25 yards it will shoot one ragged 2" 17 shot hole with the iron sights. I slapped a really cheap red dot on it and got the same.

It ate everything I threw at it with no problem at all.

I'm really impressed with the rifle. It's like a 10/22 but for grownups.

    Anybody shot one suppressed yet?

Some semi pistol-caliber carbines blow so much gas back through the ejection post as to be no fun to shoot.

I came very very close to buying an older 1st gen Ruger 9mm PC, as I've always wanted one. Then came the updated threaded takedown PCC.

    Definitely want one.

Just wondering about it's manners when sporting a can.

I just picked up an old Marlin Camp Carbine in 9mm. Not threaded, but I wanted it anyway. I'll also be buying one of the Ruger PCC for the very reason you state--a threaded barrel. My Freedom Ordnance FX9 and a customized MKE AT94 are currently my only two 9mm carbines with the ability to take a suppressor.

Once I get the Ruger, I'll be up to six 9mm carbines with 16" barrels, cuz I love me some full-length pistol-caliber carbines.

If they add more calibers and maybe inserts to support mags other than Glock, then I'll be more interested... both look real possible with the design- if they don't, they're really missing the boat.

They use Glock, Ruger SR, and Ruger American mags.
Agreed that's the case today- but with the modular magwell design, there is no reasonable reason they couldn't make magwell inserts for S&W M&P, S&W 59 series, Beretta 92, Sig 226, even HK VP9 or CZ75.

Why make the magwell a modular "insert" design if you're only going to support your own mags and Glock?... it's like 3/4 of a good implementation.

Even Kel-Tec got that part right with the Sub2000, it would be stupid not to at least try and release support for more mags.
