Twenty-five year old, back in high school to play basketball. The TV show ‘Glee’ based on high school students had average actor and actresses ages of 27 (at least, the one serious time I looked into it). If Hollywood can get away with it, why not Jamal?

I’m sorry, Sidney Bouvier Gilstrap-Portley - at least let me get his name right. (Portley sounds like he should maybe be playing football rather than basketball).

I don’t know for certain about that one, but the one they busted here in Odessa a few years ago got charged with statutory rape on top of everything else. He was 27 his “junior” year.

I thought Bouvier was a joke, a Simpson's reference, when I first read this.
(Marge's maiden name is Bouvier, also shared with her grumpy old spinster sisters.)

    This "kid" is a creep.
If he put moves on my 14 YO daughter, this article would be different by a lot.

If he put moves on my 14 YO daughter, this article would be different by a lot.
I'm at the company picnic, prepping food with a number of co-workers, when someone's kids and friends stopped by. I was about 25. One of the girls who stopped by was drop-dead gorgeous and as she left I asked "Anybody know who that was? I think I'd like to take a break and go talk to her."

One of the women, a close co-worker, said "That's my daughter. She's 14." (She sure as hell didn't look 14!) I said "Well, she's very lovely and I'll be staying far away. OK?" Co-worker understood, laughed, and said that was fine and that I should just wait a few years. Nothing became of it.

Fast-forward 20 years. That same co-worker and I ran into each other and caught up on old times. Her daughter had married a lazy jerk and was miserable. She actually told me "I wish you'd have pursued her at the picnic when you first met her."

The mom promised to keep me on speed-dial when her daughter finally got around to divorcing the loser. Daughter stuck with it, though, and the time for anything to develop passed.

    Times have changed, I suppose.

Early in the last century, before invention of the current definition for "stalking", I followed a 16 year old home from a restaurant& knocked on her front door to ask her mama. But I was barely legal myself.

News had a guy that was 25 at a HS here in Dallas, and he was arrested for sexual assault. Just living the HS life, going to class, etc.

EDIT - yep, this is the guy in the OP story.
