True but adding length to trusses adds to weight, stability, and cost. There is no need for the trusses themselves to span over the containers. I get him wanting to roof over the containers but it doesn't take trusses to do that.I'm thinking that if he'd wanted 15' more between the containers, he could have ordered 55' trusses and dealt with a lot less trouble than cobbling some tubing together with the 40' trusses. The latter would also cut down significantly on the storage space he wanted above the containers.
But if he is happy with it that is all that matters.
Check my description in post #63. They would still be covered.Ummmm....having the trusses span the containers keeps them shaded, and sheds rain.
It still would be easier to change now than after completed if he chose to do so.So why suggest what he *could* have done, especially after everything was in place and welded up? Rhetorical question, no need to answer.
Need to instal a big ass ceiling fan next.

Yep. Have 2 of them in my warehouse at work. Put them going in opposite directions, and the temp will drop 10 degrees on a hot day. From here? View attachment 139722
