'Top of the hill, Kerr County!
'Never been to Portland but one of my best friend's son married a gal that grew up in Portland and from what I gather from them it is extremely liberal. They have since moved back to the hill country and have a nice place on Inks Lake to raise their toddlers on.

I'm inferring here that MN SSN starts with a 4??? Didn't know that.
AND I did not say that I would "turn against" anyone.

Much like Ca. once you get out of the Liberal encampments their are still reasonable people and many pockets of very conservative values. Portland is far from that, it's views (majority) often border on insanity.

Interesting, I figured numbers had something to do with state and time (era), but never really checked into it.
See the warning at the top of the page... it's not really the case since 2011, but for anyone old enough know that social security is neither it's still true. (should be called socialist insecurity)

My wife and I have only lived in Texas four years. We first visited Texas in November of 2013.

The crazy thing is it felt like the home I've never really had.

I'm a knuckle dragging Conservative. We left Portland because it was going to give me a heart attack. The only things I want to change here are some of the outdated gun laws. Like 30.06/.07 signs.

    I’m right there with ya.

When people ask where I’m from, the answer is Dallas, soon to be Duncanville

I snuck in during the middle of the night via NM and hwy 87... y'all need better security up in Texline.
At least one follow-up trip I took 287 from OK... so y'all need to step it up in Kerrick.
All of this with Colorado plates, no less... I wasn't even hassled getting a TX LTC with a CO DL.

    :usflag:

I've lived in Ohio, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado and Texas... and been to at least 40 states, and throughout much of Canaidia... and Texas feels like home.

I loved Alaska, but it would probably feel foreign to me now.

You ever fish at Mayfield Lake off I-5?

I slaughtered trout there once upon a time.
