Taking a stab in the dark.

The razorback I rescued from CA had the bummer button on it. Had to drill it out.

Long story short, the six8 lowers don't use standard mag parts. It's a pinned button/catch (instead of threaded). They want 1 hour labor @ $75, $30+ for parts, plus shipping. I am NOT paying $150 for a mag catch.

Anyone, for some wild reason, happen to have the catch/spring/release pin as a spare? Might be the same as the REPR. I dunno.

Wow, you can buy a lower receiver and standard mag release much cheaper than that.

Hope you find the part you need.

yep, you can get a complete lower with buffer tube and stock for that price!

Then again, being a 6.8 SPC, the Magwell is wider and therefore proprietary enough for them to profit.

The biggest sting is the $75 for 1 hour of labor. It's a 3 minute job.

Is there a way you could use a extended mag catch? Is it the same as a standard Ar15 just wider?

the dimensions are way different. Button recess is shallower, spring recess is narrower. Plus it's pinned vs threaded
why can't you order the parts from them and do it yourself?
I dunno. they won't sell them

Diesel I am still missing it. Help me understand.

    NVM I see standard AR

The interior dimensions of the Six8 lower is different from a regular AR lower. It's slightly larger in width especially in the magwell. The reason, the plastic Pmag has to be slightly larger (compared to a regular Pmag) so the sides won't bulged with the fatter 6.8 case. Whenever you buy a Six8 lower, it comes with the proprietary parts that won't work in a regular AR lower.

It says "MagLatch F.N.G.R. has two modes, free state and ban state."

    you're right, just saw that.

still confused how it works. says it utilized the original mag catch, which I don't have. then it says it comes with one.

either way, it doesn't specify a difference between the M6/IC lowers and the six8 lowers which are different. The springs aren't even interchangeable.

The rifle is a keeper. Send the lower to LWRC and they'll make it right. That's what I would do with a high-end rifle like an LWRC.

I'm working on it. Communicating with someone who isn't as sales-savvy as the original guy who quoted me. This guy is much more reasonable lol.

And yes, maybe I shouldn't complain over a $2800 rifle. But $150 is still a lot for a 4 minute job utilizing "$32.50" in parts.

Meh. People are still paying a hundred bucks for charging handles. That's insane to me.

lwrc customer service said they won't sell you the parts????? That doesn't sound right.
right, not for this particular lower. you can get everything else. on their website, but the six8 mag catch they want to do it themselves. they have a special jig or some crap.
