Wish I liked mine as much as everyone else seems to like theirs. To me it is just OK. It’s plastiky and heavy and has a crappy trigger. Even with the Geissele trigger pack, I shoot my ARs more often. It’s actually the rifle I shoot the least. I really tried to like it, even took a carbine class with it. Wish I had not bought it. Shoot one before committing. They aren’t for everyone. View attachment 143030

Do I sense a for sale ad upcoming?
    I’m calling dibs

I like the fact that you stayed Israeli with it and put a Meprolight M21 on there.
I’ve got one on my ARX100, I like it a lot.

We are supposed to shoot them before we buy them :)?
I wouldn't mind having a Tavor or ARX for that matter matter..they are on my list if I ever make real money.

I went RDB mainly for 2 reasons - I am a lefty and the trigger is better. That said, it had to go back to Kel Tec 2X to get it right. I was on the list and have an early model. Other guys on the KT forum have had 0 issues with them.

16" barrel in a compact package that takes AR mags, what is not to like?

Shark, you know the Tavor/X95 has organic L/R eject.

If I had it to do over again (Vietnam) and my choice between the M 16 and a Tavor/X95 it would be the X95 without question...

It is organic? I thought you could get it in a lefty version but the RBD is truly ambi. Weird thing is mine just sits in the safe. I run an AR pistol in 9mm for work and a AR pistol in 300blk for home defense.

I liked the gun but hated shooting it with the factory trigger.

I put a Shooting Sight trigger in it, and now I love the gun.

At the sub-$1k price point they’re going for these days, it’s a great poor-man’s FN SCAR

Good ergos, relatively light, extremely easy to break down and reassemble, near zero maintenance, no tools required even to remove the barrel.

I just wish the promised 300BLK barrel was coming...it ain’t.

IIRC Shark you need to buy a left hand bolt and just remove the left cover. Is that 300 blk hard on the wrist?

Pron, have not seen any at that price point, even the used stuff is around $1300+ and and new $1450 up on line prices.

Found 1 at $1299 + "Please add 3% for credit cards. $50 Shipping, "As Is", Call"

When that customer at the LGS went shooting with his Dad, the Dad had a pocket full of ammo. He chunked a 300 BLK in that 5.56 Tavor rifle and jammed it up totally. I was involved in trying to free up that action. It was hopeless!

We sent it back to the factory and they returned it good as new for $400.

Plus: The Tavor folks did the owner right for that repair. They could have just blown him off.

Minus: The idea of a trauma like that happening in a bullpup rifle, leaves me speechless! The shooter's face is resting directly above that action! I'm not a fan of bullpup rifles!

I'm not really in the market for anything semi automatic. If I had the extra money to spend I'd buy every version & sit on them.

I do have an early version of the standard Steyr AUG. IIRC it was $680.00 when I bought it. The plus on it is that registered trigger packs are available for it. I was just looking @ what that cost to do once again! If I had the extra $23K I would do that for my AUG.

I have always liked bullpen designs. I had a High Standard A-10 Police Shotgun I bought with unemployment money as a 17 year old kid. It was a cool blaster, but the built in flash light always sucked. If I had the B version I would of kept it!

Did you ever get it to feed, fire, and extract reliably? I've never heard anything but horror stories about how badly they worked but you're the first person I've ever heard say they actually owned one so I'd love to hear about it from someone with real experience.

Mine ran great! Fed any ammo I threw in it too. I run mixed slugs & shot with never a hiccup.

The flashlight set up was really strange I ended up redoing it with a switch in the pistol grip & red LED bead. Trigger more or less sucked because of a long linkage. Traded it for an AK, Sold the AK to a buddy & made money. He doubled his.

Nah. I am running a PDW brace on one and the new SB3 brace on the other and they are fine. More recoil than a 5.56 obviously but totally manageable.

Charlie, are you looking to get a Tavor SAR? Or, are you just perusing the cornucopia of information available in all the various threads that eventually depart from the origin and end up offering various tidbits of information on all matter of subjects that can do nothing but make the reader a learned individual?
