Damn. I gotta buy a can of chain lube. Phuckers that sold me the bike should've either threw in a can or walked me over to the shelf. I was ultra tired of looking at the salesman face so I bailed out of there like they had a gun pointed at me.

$15 average for a spray can of chain lube. $hit.

Of all the drives. Belt is my favorite. The belt last practically forever. It's quiet and low maintenance. Softer feel to the bike.

Second pick is a chain. Besides chain lube every 300 miles. You can change out sprockets for a gear change. Little bit of a rattle to the chain.

Third is shaft drive. Clunky and whiny. Clanky solid feel and sound. It's third on my list because the tube the drive shaft runs through isn't all that water resistant. It'll get water in it and the water collects by the rear pinion bearing. It has to be inspected and packed with grease or it'll go to $hit in around 1000miles.

Damn chain lube.....$15.....and a fork seal replacement...

Belt change is a major ordeal. Changing out a chain is a 30 minute process.

I gave my Honda Trail 50 to a family member, great bike. Bought my youngest girls a Honda 70 (no clutch). I still ride that thing around. Those things run forever.

I put a carb kit in it in December and it made a big difference. Only thing I've done (besides tires) since 2005.

Tried to do a carb kit on my Honda 250 Enduro, but got lost. I need a whole day to dive back into it. Too much stuff coming out of it to do it on different days. No way I can remember where all that stuff goes / connects. But its too hot right now to work on that thing.

BTW, I had a RM125 enduro for a while. Motor blew, and I literally coasted into the Honda dealership and bought a XR250L. Best bike I've had.

True that about being too Damn hot. My choices for changing a fork seal is in the yard. Under the sunshine with some breeze. Or in the garage that's 5° hotter and no breeze.

It'll only about 20mins. It's the heat. Being sweaty and messing with stinky oil sUCks.

Man the memories. It was all about trails, hill climbs & scramble tracks when I was a kid.
Had the Suzuki Trailhopper 50, graduated up to the TS90 (loved that bike) and finally on an RM250. I bet I rebuilt that 250 4 times before I sold it but it was a runner (when it wasn’t seized up!). Miss those days.

    Well Damn.

Those handlebars showed up. Renthal street bars in low. Wouldn't you know it. They don't fit. Too high. The throttle cables are too short. They won't reach. The bike will only take Ultra-low bars unless I get longer cables. I'm not doing that.

Revzilla is getting the bars back. I'm keeping the Biltwell grips. Already have them on the bike. It wouldn't been kewl if the bars had fit.

Ill stew around if I want to try and switch out bars again. I've gotten use to the factory bars. There not bad. I still want a different color of bars though...
