I’d come closer to believing she drank water from the windsheild washer tank, because some people just put water in during summer months

I am............some people.....can't remember the water ever freezing in our windshield washer tank year round....

I cussed out the local shop a couple of years ago.
Oldest daughter and son in law lived in Aurora CO at the time.
We drove up there for Christmas. Washer fluid froze at 31°.
I had just bought tires and paid mega bucks for a pinion gear replacement.
It sucked both going and coming back home.
Shop foreman told me it was good to 33 below.
    Bullshit
I don't do business with them anymore.

When we drive to New Hampshire in November for our yearly trip...I change it out just for the trip....lol......I'm just too cheap to pay for something I don't need here in South Texas.....

I remember as a kid a bottle of washer fluid that froze solid in our van. Supposed to be good to -20° and never went below 0° on our trip.

I replace my fluid when Winter approaches as the normal junk always freezes up on me in my travels.

I saw it on the news this am.
Radiator hose was used to get water from a natural spring coming out of the rocks.
Vehicle was destroyed, and rusted as if it had sat for months.

Having driven PCH many many times over the years I lived out in Ca I just don't see how she was able to survive 200+ Ft drop over a near vertical cliff and live for 7 days with no food. All she had was a minor injury.

TV report mentioned 5 broken bones, and punctured lung.

The report I read said she had a minor should injury and was walking around when she was found. 5 broken bones and a punctured lung and you are in MAJOR pain trying to move or breathe, let along wandering around and finding creeks or springs and removing a radiator hose from you car. Done a lot of work on car over my life and removing a radiator hose is NOT easy. Often they put a sealant on the ends where the hose goes and it will dry up to make a waterproof seal and will glue that hose to the fittings and you have to cut the hose off, guess she used her Leatherman for that...
