When I was in my 20s, I'd cruise to SA wearing shorts & flip flops, lol.

    What a maroon.....

    ETA: me, not you.

Lol, the soldiers around here ride bare bones. T-shirt and shorts maybe pants....but they always wear a full face helmet. Sport bikes that is. Cruisers, you can catch a glimpse of somebody wearing only shorts and flip flops. No shirt, no helmet, just shorts and flip flops. Guy was on a Harley when I saw him. Downtown on Veterans Memorial.

I hate to ride around the block without my gear. Too scared to loose my skin. I sweat my balls off on these 100 degree days with the full kit. Riding at 80mph with the face shield cracked feeling like I am driving into a hair drier.

Grasshopper, if you end up with the CLK 320 and have any questions hit me up. I have a CLK 430 cabrio I will get fixed someday to fund fixing my real car.

Damn life is so busy (as I reply at 12:14am)

I'm out on the Mercedes. I'm trying to lower the toy amount. That's all I need is a Mercedes sitting in the yard costing me money. If I had come across that car years ago. Then It'd be a different story. I'm getting tired of getting underneath cars.

Took a ride out to Belton Lake park. A cool 106°. Everything is ok while moving. Stop for 5mins and buy a water. You're drenched. Then it's a lot cooler running down the road. Until you dry off on the torso. Then it's sweat drips in the goggles.

I wear tenny shoes riding. Stop and put your foot down. You can feel the 120-130° of the road top through the soles.

    Good Times.

Reinstalled the handlebar weights. I had left them off after changing out the grips. At 70-75mph you can feel a deep humming vibration in the grips. So I put the weights back in.

Not a super annoying feeling but if it can reduced. I'm all for it. With the combination of the thick Biltwell grips and the weights. It should cut it down a lot more verses the weights and the thin factory grips.

Now I need to work on packing things on the bike. I want to go bowfishing and ride the bike. It's a recurve bow. I strap it to a backpack. Need to locate one of those soft beer coolers with the zipper. Ill bag any fish and stick them on ice. Strapped to the rear of the seat.

Got somebody coming to look at the Suzuki. Hopefully they buy it...

Just one arrow I'm gonna carry. I have two total. Heavy fiberglass with what they call a 'Carp Tip'. It can be unscrewed.

Edit to add; The motorcycle closeout place sent a UPS tracking number. The day after the order. A good sign it's not a fake scammer website. The jury is still out until the helmet shows up. If the helmet is a real Shoei and not some counterfeit. Then it's an official website.

Grand adventures. Received an email from a gentleman wanting video of the Suzuki running.

YouTube is full of videos. I'm not making one. The motorcycle makes an engine running sound. Kinda like a motorcycle motor that's running. Sounds like Vroom...

It's too early for this and coffee isn't helping it make sense.

I have a full face AFX brand helmet, the guy I bought the Suzuki from gave to me. I don't wear it because it's pink. It's a common model. The Shoei feels a pound lighter. No match to fit and finish either. It's a reality check to how junky the cheaper helmets are. This thing makes every helmet I have look fake. Not by a hair, by a ways.

I've never had anything like this before.

I've researched quite a bit about it. Of course nobody calls its perfect. It's suppose to the Mac-Daddy on protection. It's Snell certified. Hand laid fiberglass some kinda matrix helmet shell. Wind tunnel tested real deal. Straight from Japan themselves.

    Good job!

Just don't leave it sitting on the seat or tank.
    It will eventually fall off.

I took in your consideration about the Arai. Looked through a bunch. Folks collect them and they're the tippy top tittie of expensive. Good Lord, Cam. Arai is high dollar. I think some of it is bulletproof. Like actually shooting the thing. Bullet no go through, bulletproof.

I've got a Shoei that I've had for about 18 years now... It's a great helmet, but I've barely used it. I've been using a cheap ass modular for awhile and really like that design. I see Shoei makes modulars now. Should probably stop being cheap and get one....
