    grasshopperglock,

By far the fastest car that I've ever owned was a 1953 lowered "STUDILLAC" Loewy Starlight coupe with a "hotrod" Caddy engine & transmission in it.
(Another hotrod that was MUCH better on the dragstrip & on "top end" than it ever handled on curves.)

Well the engine guard works, went down on the right side; was pulling into a parking spot.

This is the culprit about 12” across and 8” deep

Minor scuff to bottom side of Engine Guard and floorboard mounting bracket ; already sanded and touched up.

How's that 8" deep? It doesn't look it.

    Hurry up the boat. Lol

    grasshopperglock,

IF I can find a matched pair of 40HP OMC outboards (at a price that I can afford!!), I should have the OFFSHORE 1702 restored & ready for fall fishing by Labor Day or maybe sooner.
(A member of another forum to which I belong & who had seen my ad for buying 2 matching OB motors on craigslist.com, offered me a pair of "well-used" 1963 SEA KING 40HP OBs for a THOUSAND DOLLARS EACH.====> When I saw his email, I actually LOL.)

Just ordered the Shad mounts for the F800r. Already have the 3 bag set up for VFR so cost not too bad. Found a deal across the pond for a OEM tank bag too. $500 poorer but set up for a trip to Hill country or to Talimena Parkway
