My first Glock was a 26, back when the mag limit was 10rds. Made sense. I'd shoot very accurately with that pistol. A friend of mine and I were discussing this and we think it has a lot to do with the way the grip is cut and our the back of the grip is short and doesn't fully engage the bottom of your palm that lends it too less shifting in the hand which leads to more precision/accuracy.

After the AW ban sunset, it's limitations kinda showed. Always needed the Pearce pinky extension to get a good grip on the G26, but with the extension, your at the length of a Glock 19 grip. So for a little more size, you got 5 more rounds and grip you can actually hold without aids.

My G26 is still in my collection and does regular rotation duty for the CHL.

I kick myself for waiting so long to get one. Bought a Gen 4 about 8 months ago on their blue label program. Takes all my G mags and more accurate that the M&P9C I carried. The G26 is now carried as my EDC 85% of the time. Khar P9 Covert is my other gun that gets carried.
I use to be the new techno guy and still have a lot of cool stuff but something to be said for simplicity, reliability, and commonality.

My one and only Glock was a 17. I bought it more because it was popular back then. Back then I had a desire to get the Glock 21, and for whatever reason I never got around to it. Later it got to where whenever I looked at the Glocks, I said to myself 'boring!'. I'm sure they have improved functionwise since the 90's, but other than color they haven't improved the looks. Boring!

Been perusing the on-line gun sale websites this A.M.

Sure does seem to be a lot of Glock 26 pistols up for sale.
Just about all of them in very new condition.

    What gives?
Are they junkers? Unpleasant to fire? Jam-O-Matic's?

    Just curious.

Nope, nary a thing wrong with older gen Glocks.............

When I bought my Gen 4 26, I had trouble of getting through my first two mags. I was shooting 115gr FMJ. I have since changed the ammo I use when braking in a new gun. I use Winchester White Box 124gr FMJ. They are a little more stout than other 124gr ammo. I have had absolutely no problems from my G26 since then. I have a G26, G19 (Gen 4s) and a G17 Gen 5. I can shoot anything in my G26 now after breaking in the spring. I am certainly no Glock fanboy, but I have to say they just work. I love the G19 it's what I shoot best. It's my EDC most of the time. Although I do carry my G26 and a Taurus G2C (12 + 1 capacity) as well. The G2C is very easy for me to conceal.

So, the flexibility to have the extended mag in for more rounds...or have the ten round mag in to easily conceal, is worth it, IMO.

Options are good. No way I would want to conceal a Glock 19 in my corset But a ten round mag in a pistol in a corset pocket under one breast and an extended mag with 17 more rounds in a corset pocket under the other suits me just fine.

Just have to make sure the girls are supported enough to get to the goods if needed.

Good posture helps as well. XD

I had a gen 4 and it worked perfectly but it was too bulky for me to wear iwb comfortably. I traded it for the shield and haven’t looked back.
