Last night was my lucky night on eBay. I went to bed with four auctions pending.

I won all four. Two sets of Lyman 2C mold handles, two sets of Lyman 4C handles, a Lyman 2C 429421, and a Lyman 2C 358480.

So four sets of handles and two molds for $140 delivered. Lyman handles are ~$40 each and the molds are $80 each when new. So $320 worth of casting equipment for $140. Not too shabby.

Swaged the primer pockets on about 40 pieces of 5.56 brass.

Measured about 50 pieces of 5.56 brass for length. 70% need trimmed, 30% need beveled and primed.

    Bevelled the 30%.

As I age (Oh, so gracefully) I have learned to NOT invoke repetitive motion injuries, so it's a little of this and a little of that and keep on keepin' on...

Finished prepping and annealing 150 .223 cases. Tumbled around 200 9mm cases getting them ready to prep.

I picked up two 5 gallon buckets of brass Friday evening.

Over the weekend, Twerpy helped me sort it all out, I wound up with a full bucket of 308, most of one in 223. I managed a couple hundred pieces of 6.5 Creedmoor in there.

Since then, I’ve decapped and washed the Creedmoor, and starting the process of getting them ready to load. Debur flash hole, square primer pocket, full length size, trim, then I can load.

If you come across any 7-08 in there then let me know!

I was able to switch grips and trim another 300 pieces of 223 brass last night. I was sure to wipe my hands on a dry towel every few cases as well. Finger doesn't hurt as much today either. Might do some more tonight if I can slip away unnoticed.

Cheap Harbor Freight gloves go a long way protecting hands while prepping cases.

I had some work gloves and then some of the blue rubber palm gloves but didn't use them because I'm just a dumb pool guy :-( but, painful lessons are hard forgotten.

One of the molds I won on eBay was one of my "grail" molds. The 429421 is a square groove. I really couldn't tell from the pictures but I wanted/needed a two cavity 429421,

I also picked up another "grail" mold on eBay recently. An RCBS 45-201 SWC KT. The KT is a bit different than the current 201 SWC they currently offer. The KT molds have been going for around $50 or more lately and I stumbled into one for $35.

Anyone ever worked up loads with powder which you have no data for?

Worked up some test loads for the wife's 380. I've got some XTP 90gr, some plated 100gr, and some powder coat cast which range from 105-108gr.

The only data I could find for this powder I have is for 90gr XTP or 90gr FMJ. The powder is listed as "similar to AA#5" but still couldn't find a reliable source using the shooters world, love, and AA data.

I'm starting off both bullets at Max OAL. I've got both loaded with 5 rounds each at 3.5, 3.7, 3.9, 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2 grains. I anticipate I will not be hitting the high end of the loads.in the event I do get to max I have one each of 4.3 and 4.4.

The xtp has correct powder data from shooters world at 3.5 to 5.0 gr. I have them at 4.1, 4.3, 4.5, 4.7, 4.8, 4.9, and 5.0. headed out now. Will report back if I don't blow up.

Primed some 6.5 Creedmoor brass. Been sitting on my reloading stuff for months. Bought the rifle recently, so it's time to load some.

I'm just gonna post this here for someone to find on Google later

Lovex D036-03 (shooters world - AUTO PISTOL) 380acp load data - left to right: Winchester factory, Lee 102-1R powder coat (~104-108gr), extreme plated 100gr RnFp, hornady XTP 90gr

I took out 3 test batches today. I had to make my own load data for the 2 middle bullets. The XTP data came straight from shooters world. Loads were compared to Winchester factory for felt recoil, extraction, and grouping (hitting 20x20 steel at 25 yards, not 25 feet). Testing was with a Ruger LC380 3.14" barrel. Plated and cast bullets seated deep enough to plunk.

    Lee 356-102-1R .974-.976
3.5 very low recoil, extraction failures
    3.7 extraction failures
    3.9 1 ejection failure
    4.0
    4.1 most accurate
    4.2
4.3 1 round only, max load
4.4 1 round only to test

    Extreme 100gr RNFP .960-.965
3.5 very low recoil, extraction issues
3.7 very low recoil, stove piping
3.9 2 ejection failures (not cycling fully?)
    4.0
    4.1 accurate
    4.2 most accurate
4.3 1 Rd only, hot load
4.4 1 Rd only to test, max load (+p maybe)

    Hornady 90gr XTP .965-.970
    4.1 very low recoil
    4.3 very low recoil
    4.5
    4.7
    4.8
    4.9 most accurate
    5.0
    5.1 1 Rd only, max
5.2 1 Rd only, very hot load

This was not exactly a scientific test. This was based on felt recoil, extraction, and hitting a big target from 75 feet away. This is what I found and I only want to share to help you guys get a starting point. Your milage will vary, blah blah blah, use at your own risk.

rp, my near max loads for 90g bullets in 380 have also been my most accurate. I'm using AA#2.

I bought that 15kg bunch of lovex pistol powder and it turned out to be shooters world auto pistol. It's made by lovex but between both companies they don't have much data for 380 loads. When asking shooters world about it they said "just use AA#5 data" but even that didn't agree with what their data said and still didn't cover all of my needs so I was kinda winging it. It was actually kinda fun doing to math and figuring out where to start judging by case volume and existing data for the lighter bullets.

As for my most accurate, it really just means I was able to hit the 20x20 steel target more times with that load than the others. It would have been nice to have paper targets setup at 7 yards, but I'll take what I can get. I had a guy lined up that offered to Chrono some 380 loads for me but lost his info and I haven't re-found him yet.

I bought stuff to make myself a Chrono but never got around to it. Maybe I'll have to get that project going next.

It actually came in a box with 2 plastic bags, each with 7.5kg. I was kind of surprised at that. I was able to fit it in 4 1g paint cans though. So far I've loaded about 750 9mm and about 100 380s. I haven't even scratched the surface yet... Hence why I want to utilize this stuff on the 380s, since I have it just laying around and all.

Shooters world advertised that it would work in 44 mag as well but then they couldn't give me any data for it. They just refer me back to lovex for data. I tried emailing lovex but I don't write or read Czech so they never responded.
